## Buy it with confidence.

What to ask for in the RFQ and check when goods arrive.

  * For tableware, test lead and cadmium release and check dishwasher and microwave suitability.
  * For tiles, agree size calibre, shade and water absorption class (e.g. to EN ISO 10545 and EN 14411).
  * Approve glaze colour on a fired sample, because kiln variation affects shade.

### What is Morbi known for?

Morbi is India's ceramic capital, producing floor, wall and vitrified tiles, sanitaryware and wall clocks at very large scale.

### Where can I source ceramic tableware in India?

Khurja in Uttar Pradesh is a traditional centre for pottery and crockery, and Jaipur is famous for hand-painted blue pottery. Both Khurja Pottery and Blue Pottery of Jaipur are GI-registered.

### What is Jaipur blue pottery?

It is a quartz-based, low-fired pottery painted mainly in cobalt blue, made for tiles, vases, bowls and knobs.
