What a code proves

## One code, four confirmations.

A match in our register confirms the report came from us and has not been changed. It is the quickest way to trust a report someone else has sent you.

  * **Issued by SourceSquid** Prepared and signed by our team, or by a partner inspector working to our checklists.
  * **Report type** Pre-shipment inspection, in-line inspection, factory audit or loading supervision.
  * **Scope** The product and lot inspected, or the factory audited.
  * **Result as issued** The result recorded in our register, so any edited copy is easy to spot.

### Who can verify a SourceSquid report?

Anyone holding the report: the buyer who ordered it, their customer, a bank, an auditor or the factory itself. The code is printed on the report, and checking it takes seconds.

### What if my code is not found?

Check the code exactly as printed, including the dashes, and remember that the letter O and the number 0 look alike. If it is still not found, email us the code and a copy of the report and we confirm it within one working day.

### Are the sample codes real reports?

No. SQ-26-PSI-0412 and SQ-26-AUD-0233 are sample reports that show how verification works. Codes on reports issued to clients are checked against the same register.

### Does a verified report cover later shipments?

A report covers the lot or factory named on it, on the date stated. For later lots, book a new inspection; for a newer view of a factory, book a fresh audit.
