Compliance · FTA duty-saver audit

# Claim the duty cut your trade deal gives you.

The FTA duty-saver audit helps UK, Swiss, Norwegian and other EFTA buyers of Indian goods pay the lower duty their trade agreement allows, and gets EU buyers ready for the EU–India FTA. For each supplier and HS line we map the product-specific rule of origin, check the supplier’s origin evidence and quantify the duty you save.

### Who makes the origin declaration, and who claims the preference?

The Indian exporter makes the origin declaration for the goods. You, the importer, claim the preference at import, usually through your customs broker. We prepare and check the evidence behind both, and we do not file customs declarations ourselves.

### How much can UK buyers save under CETA?

The India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement entered into force on 15 July 2026. According to India’s Ministry of Commerce, it gives zero-duty access to about 99% of India’s exports to the UK, removing UK duties of up to 18% on engineering goods and auto components, up to 16% on leather and footwear and up to 12% on textiles and clothing. Your saving depends on each HS line and on meeting its rule of origin.

### What changes for Swiss, Norwegian and other EFTA buyers?

The India–EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement entered into force on 1 October 2025 for Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, with EFTA offering concessions on 92.2% of tariff lines, covering 99.6% of India’s exports. Switzerland abolished its industrial tariffs for all origins on 1 January 2024, so for Swiss imports the saving is mainly on agricultural products. For the other members we check each line.

### What does the audit cost?

USD 490 per supplier, covering up to 5 HS lines. Site visits to supplier factories and travel beyond Bengaluru are billed at cost, and we confirm the total in a fixed quote.

### Is the EU–India FTA in force yet?

Not yet. The EU and India concluded negotiations on 27 January 2026, and the agreement applies only once it enters into force. The audit maps your suppliers’ origin evidence now, so you can claim the preference from the first day it applies.
