What does the desk check cover?

The company registry record, the directors and their other companies, GST and importer-exporter code in India or the business licence in China, a litigation search and the export history. We compare each finding with what the supplier told you and list the questions worth asking.

What does a report cost?

USD 79 for the desk report. With a 2-hour site or video visit, the report is USD 199. Travel for site visits outside Bengaluru and Ningbo is billed at cost.

Will the supplier know we checked?

The desk check uses public registers and records, so the supplier is not contacted. The optional 2-hour site or video visit is arranged with the supplier, and we tell them it is on your behalf.

Is this the same as a factory audit?

No. A background report confirms who the supplier is and what its record shows. A factory audit looks at the quality system, processes and capacity on the floor. Many buyers start with a background report, then book an audit for the suppliers they shortlist.

How do you handle directors’ personal data?

Directors’ names and roles come from public registers. We use them only for your report, keep only what the check needs and handle them with care under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and China’s Personal Information Protection Law.
